Engineering and Technological Innovation: A Panacea for Socio-Economic Development

An international conference of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Glasgow Scotland, in conjunction with the University of Strathclyde Nigerian Society and Glasgow Caledonian University IEEE Branch with the aim to provide a forum for researchers, students and practitioners from academia, industry, government institutions/agencies, and regulators with background in STEM to explore enabling innovations for socio-economic development.

Overview

The NSE International conference is designed with the aim of exploring avenues and opportunities for information exchange that will help in socio-economic development in virtually all sectors of the Nigerian economy

Venue

This event will be hosted by the University of Strathclyde Students’ Union, Learning & Teaching Building, 51 Richmond Street, Glasgow, G1 1XU

Registration

All attendees must be duly registered. Event registration commences from the 15th of January to the 30th of June 2024. Early registration advised.  

Visa & Accommodation

Early hotel reservation is highly recommended. All International attendees are advise to check if visa is required for their visit.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The conference is open to students, engineers and other non engineering professionals. All attendees must be fully registered to be able to gain access into the conference venue.

HOW TO REGISTER

To register, you will need to select the registration button and follow on from there. All registration must be in the name of the attendee and is non transferrable. Should you encounter issue during registration, kindly contact contact@nseglasgow.org.uk.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT

Early registration starts now and runs until 31st of March, 2024 at 5:00 PM (EST). Regular registration applies after this cut off date.

   CALL FOR ABSTRACT

 The convener of this conference and its programme organisers welcome your abstracts relating to all areas as highlighted in the flyer. Kindly note that we accept one abstract per presenting author. If you wish to submit any further abstracts, these will only be considered if you are a co-author and the presenting author is registered for the event.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

All major credit and debit cards with the Visa, MasterCard and American Express logos are accepted. Please ensure you are using the appropriate credit card for your transaction. Please contact the branch if payment issues arises.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

To cancel registration and/or request a refund, you must submit a request in writing to contact@nseglasgow.org.uk. Please enter “Engineering Convention Cancellation/Refund” in the subject line. Refund processing will incur a 30% handling charges. No refunds will be given after May 30, 2024.

The 2024 – Engineering Convention may be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. If so, registration fees will be refunded; however, ENGINEERING CONVENTION is not responsible for additional costs, charges, or expenses.
